History
The Manawatu Kilwinning Charitable Trust was formed in 2008 as a natural continuation of the Lodge's Benevolent Fund, which has been active in charitable giving since 1885.
Generosity
The Trust has provided over $100,000.00 in charitable giving, scholarships and grants since its inception.
Purpose
To provide care for the aged, children and orphans, the relief of poverty and assistance to the sick, widows and other needy persons.
To provide for the assistance and support of persons undertaking a course of education at any educational institution in New Zealand, the undertaking of research and teaching and the advancement of education generally.
To provide facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation where the facilities are provided in the interests of social welfare and for the public benefit.
To provide for any other purpose which in terms of the Charities Act 2005 is deemed charitable according to the law of New Zealand.
